Authorizations can be added to patients’ cases, and can be transferred over from a previous EMR.
1. Click Manage Auths > Edit.
2. Next, add Authorization details.
*If you are transferring over authorizations from a previous EMR, please remember to subtract off any visits that were used in the previous system.

- Example: I had 10 visits authorized in my old system, and the patient used 3 of those visits. I would then transfer an authorization for 7 visits into Stride.

FAQ: What if the clinician has already completed a note before an authorization was added?
If an authorization was added after a note was signed, you can add the auth by clicking on Manage Insurance and selecting the auth:
The Authorization is now added to the visit once this process is completed.
