Birthday Campaigns are a special type of Campaign that are set up to go out to patients on their Birthday, based on the birth date that is listed within their chart in Stride.
To ensure the Birthday Campaign encompasses all patients in Stride, you will want to list the Parameter as Age IS ≥ 0.
Create A Birthday Campaign:
Click on the "PRM" tab within Stride (User must have the "Campaigns Administrator" permission turned on within the Settings tab)
Click the "+" button in the upper right-hand corner to add a campaign:
1. Campaign
- Title your Campaign
- Set the campaign type as "Birthday." The "Birthday" campaign type will continuously enroll patients in the campaign and send out your customized birthday message.
- Set the Active Date and Active Time: Date and Time Campaign is set to begin enrolling patients and sending out messages based on steps and triggers created in Step 3. Today's date and time will always pre-load, and it is BEST to always update to a Date and Time in the future to give you the opportunity to test.
- Set the Daily Start & End Times: This is the time frame that messages will send out to your patients.
Ex. If you want your campaign to only send messages during business hours, you can use and Active Start Time of 8:00 am, and an Active End Time of 6:00 pm.
2. Set the Audience
The audience will be set based on the parameters you provide for the campaign. To capture all patients, remember to set the parameters to Age IS ≥ 0.
Once you have set the desired parameters, you can click "View Audience" to see the patients that will be enrolled in this campaign. Keep in mind that since this campaign is dynamic, the audience can change based on the Sequence and Trigger Rules that are set.
3. Add A Step to Your Campaign
Setting the Steps and Trigger Rules will determine when the custom messages are sent out to patients.
- Title the Step, and set the Trigger Rule. The Trigger Rule for Birthday Campaign will simply be "Birthday."
- Once the Trigger Rule is set, choose the Time After Trigger to indicate the time when the message will be sent to the audience once the applied trigger has been completed. The choices will be "Immediate" to go out instantly, or you can choose "hours" or "days" and customize the step even further. Keep in mind that campaigns will only be sent out during the active times set in step 1 of campaign creation.
- Select the Channel, indicating if this will be sent out via text, email, or both.
- Select the Type, which will be Custom for this campaign.
4. Review your Campaign
After the step(s) for your campaign are completed, you can review your campaign, audience and parameters prior to publishing the campaign. You can click "Save as Unpublished" if you are not ready for the campaign to be active yet. Clicking "Set as Active" will automatically publish the campaign and patients will begin receiving messages based on your custom parameters.
TEST YOUR CAMPAIGN:
During this fourth and final step, you can select the three dots to the right of each step in the sequence and send a test to yourself via email or text.
