Total Revenue Report shows your total revenue within a set date range.
Revenue reported is based on transaction date, or the date the payment is posted, not the DOS. Date Range of this report can be adjusted any specific date range you wish to view.
This report can be grouped by either the Clinician, or by Payment. When grouped by Clinician, columns within the report are defined as:
- Clinician: Clinician the revenue is credited to.
- Insurance payments: Payments from insurance companies.
- Patient Self Pay: Payments by the patient for Cash Pay visits and Packages.
- Patient Cancel: Fees collected for cancelled or no showed visits.
- Patient Insurance: Payments made by patient towards deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
Revenue Credit:
Revenue is credited to the clinician with the following logic:
- Prior to a note being locked, patient payments will be credited to the clinician the appointment is scheduled with.
- Once the note is locked, if signed by a different clinician, the revenue will move to the signing clinician.
- In cases where a co-signature is requested, the requesting clinician will maintain revenue credit.
In cases where a signature is requested (eval note types), the requested clinician will receive the revenue credit.
Credit Balances:
If a payment is made towards Patient Credit Balance, it will NOT be realized as revenue within this report, since credit balances are not considered earned income and fall under liabilities on a balance sheet.
Packages:
Payments taken towards packages are not reflected in this report until applied to a visit date.
Refunds:
When patient payments or insurance payments are refunded, the revenue will be reflected as a negative amount on the date of transaction - the date the refund is processes. The negative revenue will be credited to the same clinician.
