The Intelligent Waitlist uses AI to automatically fill open slots in your schedule. This AI-powered feature monitors availability in real time and sends automated messages to waitlisted patients—matching them with openings that fit their stated preferences for time, location, and provider. Patients can easily click the link in the message to book instantly, making the process seamless for both your team and your patients.
In order for the Intelligent Waitlist to successfully book appointments onto your calendar, two things must be true:
- The Patient must be added to the waitlist with a preference listed for Day of the Week and Time of Day. Note: Patients without preferences will not be contacted by the Intelligent Waitlist.
- An opening must exist on your schedule that matches the preferences listed for the patient on your waitlist.
In the example below, the patient preferences on the waitlist are set for Evening on Wednesday, with specific clinician.
On this clinicians schedule, an opening for this specific appointment date and time exists.
The Intelligent Waitlist will reach out to the patient via email, letting them know that an appointment time that matches their preferences is now available.
By clicking VIEW AND SCHEDULE NOW button, the patient will be directed to Stride where a message detailing the appointment date & time, location, and clinician information will be provided.They have the option to select either ‘BOOK IT’ or ‘MAYBE NEXT TIME’.
If the Patient selects ‘BOOK IT’, they will receive immediate confirmation that the appointment has been booked.
The patient will also receive an appointment reminder as an indicator of the appointment being added to the schedule in Stride.
Depending on your settings, the appointment will either immediately upload to the Calendar in Stride (below) or be added to your Schedule Request list in the Waitlist.
