Patient Statements can be viewed and created to display by CPT code level. Each date of service is broken out by each CPT code to give you a more detailed view.
CPT Code Level View
The patient statement page on the patient chart has two views:
- The Summary view
- The CPT Details view
The CPT Details view has the same layout as the Summary view, but displays a row for each individual CPT code for a date of service, which is identified in the CPT Code column.
To view the details of a particular CPT code, click the “+” button to expand the row to see a history of submissions, payments, and adjustments on the service line.
To access the claim’s details, click the Date of Service which will open the claim drawer. The claim drawer will open in a read-only state. None of the information on the claim is editable from this screen, claims must be edited from the Claims feature.
CPT Code Level Statement PDFs
When generating patient statement PDFs, you will have the option to choose whether send the summary-level statement or the CPT code-level statement.
If the CPT Details option is chosen, the patient statement PDFs will have an individual row for each service line per date of service, identified in the CPT Code column. The PDF will also include a reference table to describe each CPT Code.
