This report shows similar information to the payments report, but displays payments by transaction date only. Unlike the Payments report, the Transactions report displays payments such as package purchases that are not associated with a particular date of service.
The date range defaults to the past 30 days, but this can be adjusted as desired. The default view is grouped by Patient, but this report can also be grouped by Location.
Please note that this report pulls from the transaction date, meaning the date when the payment was taken - regardless of which date of service the payment is allocated toward.
When grouped by Patient, this report includes the following columns, all of which can be filtered:
Transaction Date: the date on which the payment was collected
Patient: the patient associated with the transaction
Location: the practice location associated with the transaction
Amount: the amount collected or refunded
Type: the transaction type (payment, refund, balance, package, etc)
Method: the payment method (cash, check, card, etc)
In this report, refunds will be listed as separate lines from the original collection.
- For example, if a patient paid $100 in cash and then this was refunded, two lines would appear in this report: one $100 payment and one $100 refund
When grouped by Location, this report includes the following columns, all of which can be filtered:
Location: the practice location where these transactions were made
Card: the amount collected via card
Terminal: the amount collected via terminal
Cash: the amount collected via cash
Check: the amount collected via check
Total: the total amount collected
